On May 6, 2024, Lin Liping, a member of the Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League and a standing member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, along with researchers Zhang Han, Fan Jiajia, and Chen Yushi, visited Leverage's Shanghai headquarters for a research exchange. They engaged in an in-depth discussion with the company’s general manager, Qu Weifeng, and team members Gu Jianan, Zhao Xinyuan, Xu Jianfeng, and others, focusing on international trade challenges and responses.

Ms. Lin introduced the team and highlighted that their research was commissioned by the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, specifically aimed at studying green supply chains and trade response strategies. She expressed the hope to engage in dialogue with Leverage, seeking advice and strategies to help both the government and enterprises tackle these challenges.

Mr Qu Weifeng provided an overview of the company and its team, sharing insights on topics such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the "Battery and Waste Battery Law," the "Clean Competition Act," domestic standards, and practical experiences in green supply chain management both locally and internationally. He also shared ideas on constructing a green supply chain system for Chinese enterprises, particularly in the Shanghai automotive industry.

The research group positively evaluated Leverage’s efforts as a Chinese institution in the fields of ESG, carbon neutrality, and sustainable development. They expressed gratitude for Leverage’s insights and looked forward to more project case studies from the company, which could serve as important references for government decision-making and benefit Chinese enterprises' exports.
