At the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the World Meteorological Organization released a report stating that the period from 2011 to 2020 was the hottest decade on record in human history. On July 6, 2023, the Earth’s average surface temperature was likely the highest in 120,000 years. Against the backdrop of global warming and increasingly frequent extreme weather events—such as droughts, torrential rains, floods, and blizzards—human survival faces enormous crises and challenges. The energy transition has become crucial to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.
In this context, the "First Green Energy and Industrial Future Forum & 2024 Green Light ESG Awards Exemplary Case Collection," jointly organized by China Energy News, China Energy Economics Research Institute, and Green Light Climate Institute, was grandly launched. The 2024 Green Light ESG Awards Exemplary Case Collection aims to highlight exemplary sustainable (ESG) cases in the green energy and related industrial chains.
The 2024 Green Light ESG Awards Exemplary Case Collection aims to highlight outstanding sustainable (ESG) practices within the green energy sector and related industrial chains. It seeks to identify and honor exemplary initiatives that successfully integrate economic, social, and environmental values in the pursuit of low-carbon transition, climate change adaptation, and green development. By facilitating cross-industry learning and exchange, the program supports global efforts to achieve climate neutrality and net-zero emissions, contributing to an ecologically balanced society where humanity and nature coexist in harmony. The initiative has attracted active participation from numerous leading enterprises. As the nomination period draws to a close, Leverage has been successfully shortlisted for the awards in recognition of its exceptional performance and achievements in the field of ESG.

From vigorously promoting corporate sustainability transformation and helping Chinese enterprises integrate into global supply chains more easily, responsibly, and confidently, to implementing a wide range of business-for-good practices and actively disseminating knowledge and best practices in compliance, responsible supply chains, ESG, and dual-carbon goals—Leverage has consistently strived to leverage its industry influence to advance sustainability among all supply chain stakeholders. As both a practitioner and advocate of sustainable development, Leverage not only demonstrates commendable sustainability practices through its own actions to partners and stakeholders, but also works to promote active due diligence and enhance supply chain resilience among brands, retailers, and suppliers throughout the value chain via its products and services.
This year's selection as a model case in the 2024 Greenlight ESG Awards is not only a recognition of Leverage's achievements in ESG practices, but also an expectation and motivation for the company's future sustainable development. Leverage will continue to uphold the ESG philosophy, innovate and practice continuously, and contribute more to promoting the sustainable development of enterprises and social progress.
Looking ahead, the vision of carbon neutrality by 2060 may not be far out of reach—it begins with every action we take today. Every corporate pledge toward carbon neutrality, every net-zero target, and every effort to reduce emissions in pursuit of green development will pave the way to a sustainable future. Leverage is committed to supporting enterprises in their sustainability transformation through the expertise of our team. We look forward to collaborating with more partners to jointly advance ESG development in China. At the same time, we call on more companies to embrace ESG practices and work together to promote a greener, low-carbon, and sustainable economy for China.
