Sustainable Supply Chain Management for International Enterprises

Mr. Qu's speech focused on the ESG challenges facing enterprises in the current global business environment and emphasized the critical role of supply chain management in achieving corporate sustainable development goals.

In his speech, Mr. Qu first pointed out that in the face of regulatory requirements, investor expectations, and shifting consumer preferences, companies must take proactive measures to reduce their negative environmental impacts. He emphasized that as a vital component of corporate activities, supply chain sustainability has become an area that companies must prioritize. He noted that the shortcomings of traditional supply chains in ESG risk management could lead to issues in supply chain security and stability. Therefore, rethinking and reshaping supply chain management models to promote sustainable development has become an urgent task for all industries.

Mr. Qu also introduced international and domestic regulatory frameworks for ESG, including the standards issued by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), the climate-related disclosure rules of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the "Self-Regulatory Guidelines for Listed Companies" previously issued by the China Securities Regulatory Commission. He suggested that companies need to understand and adapt to these frameworks to ensure the transparency and compliance of their ESG reports.
