On September 11, 2023, the Green and Low-carbon Innovation Forum co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government with the theme of "Focusing on Green Transformation and Sharing a low-carbon Future" was successfully held at W Hotel on the Bund, Hongkou District, Shanghai.

Mr. Xiong Chenyao, co-leader of the Sustainable Development Standards project team and Secretary-General of the Legal Committee of Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics, attended the meeting and introduced the "Guidelines for the preparation of Enterprise ESG Environmental, Social and Governance Reports" and other four standards on behalf of Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics.

At the meeting, Secretary General Mr Xiong first introduced the main drafting organization of the guidelines, Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics, and the background and objectives of the drafting of the guidelines.

Mr. Xiong said that more than 30 participating units of the guidelines are from domestic and foreign organizations, enterprises, research institutions, third-party institutions, arbitration institutions, well-known universities, law firms, etc., with diversified, international and representative characteristics.

At the same time, many famous experts from various industries and universities participated in the drafting of the guideline, such as the leader of the sustainable development standards expert group of the Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics, the director of the board of directors of the GRI Global Reporting Initiative, the vice president of the Shanghai Foreign Investment Association, Dr. Lu Jianzhong, Vice Chairman of the China CSR Think Tank, as well as many Yangtze River Scholars,   Shuguang Scholars, professors and deans of well-known universities, and well-known lawyers, etc.

In the end, Mr. Xiong invited more enterprises and experts to join the formulation of the standard, and looked forward to the beautiful vision of sustainable development.
