
On January 12, 2024, the annual conference of the Reverse Logistics and Low-Carbon Supply Chain Industry Alliance was successfully held in Shanghai, with the support of the Shanghai Standard Innovation Center and the Shanghai Reverse Logistics and Supply Chain Collaborative Innovation Center. Over 40 participants attended the conference, including Yin Fei, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Grain and Material Reserves, Zhou Qin, Deputy Director of the Standard Innovation Division of the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, members from the alliance’s governing and vice-governing bodies, various directorate units, members of the expert committee, and invited guests. The attendees reviewed the main work and achievements of the alliance in 2023 and looked forward to the collaborative directions for the coming year. Our CEO Mr Qu Weifeng was also invited to attend the conference and, on behalf of Leverage, was invited to join the alliance as a directorate unit.

The conference was hosted by Dong Chongqing, the Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Alliance. During the meeting, Yin Fei, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Grain and Material Reserves, stated that, in the current economic climate, it is important to seize opportunities within the broader context of the times. He emphasized the need to capitalize on the business opportunities in reverse logistics and green supply chains, and make full use of the relevant government support policies to vigorously develop green industries and efficient green supply chains. He also highlighted that the sustainability of enterprises requires higher internal standards and expectations. Looking ahead, the alliance needs to attract more companies from related industries to join, so that the role of the industry alliance can be fully realized.
In his speech, Zhou Qin, Deputy Director of the Standard Innovation Division of the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, also repeatedly emphasized that the alliance should leverage its various strengths and actively promote collaborative standards among enterprises. He highlighted the importance of strengthening multidimensional cooperation between businesses, technical organizations, infrastructure providers, and various associations. Furthermore, he urged the alliance to make good use of policy tools to enable its members to complement each other's strengths and jointly drive industry upgrades. Additionally, he suggested that the alliance should base its activities in Shanghai, take advantage of the city's resources, and amplify China's voice on the global stage. He called for more active participation in international discussions, the promotion of international standards, and the creation of a more socially impactful enterprise.
Representatives from various governing and vice-governing units, members of the expert committee, and other guests was also actively participated in the meeting, offering their views and opinions. They expressed their expectations and support for the alliance's work in the coming year, emphasizing the importance of establishing broader and deeper cooperation. Their goal is to ensure that reverse logistics can benefit more industries while simultaneously advancing the development of standardization efforts. They also stressed the need to assist more enterprises in better responding to the requirements of building a carbon peak and carbon neutrality standard system.

The company has participated in the drafting and release of various industry standards.
