On February 28, 2024, the first session of the "Walk into United Nations Global Compact Member Companies" series, focusing on "Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Practices in Sustainable Development," was held at the BFC Bund Financial Center in Shanghai. Mr. Qu Weifeng, CEO of Leverage, was also invited to attend the event.

In 2022, the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) launched the "China Strategy," aiming to mobilize more Chinese companies to make positive contributions toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and maximize the collective impact of Chinese enterprises. 2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the UNGC's introduction of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) concept. At this significant historical moment, the UNGC officially launched the "Walk into United Nations Global Compact Member Companies" series, with this event being the first session of the series.
The meeting began with opening speeches and welcoming remarks. Ms. Liu Meng, the UN Global Compact's Regional Representative for the Asia-Pacific, and Mr. Zhu Wenrui, Global Partner at Fosun, Vice President of Fosun International, Chief Strategic Empowerment Officer (CSEO), and General Manager of the Public Affairs Department, both extended a warm welcome to all the guests attending the event.
In the following guest sharing session, Professor Wang Zhile, former Director of the Multinational Corporations Research Center at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CATRC), and a member of the UN Global Compact’s Expert Group on Principle 10, delivered a keynote speech titled "Strengthening Compliance Management to Promote ESG Practices." He emphasized that companies should actively comply with laws and regulations, and establish sound internal controls and compliance mechanisms to ensure their operations are conducted within legal and compliant frameworks. Compliance management not only reflects corporate responsibility but also forms the foundation for protecting a company's reputation and interests.
In the afternoon, the guests participated in a tour of Fosun Group's corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives.

Fosun Group has always been committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility in its business development, making positive contributions to sustainable development, and promoting the harmonious development of society, the environment, and the economy.
Then, Mr. Zhang Yifei, General Manager of the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of Fosun Group and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Fosun Foundation, introduced the attendees to a sustainability initiative by Fosun Group: the Rural Doctor Program.
In 2017, under the guidance of the China Glorious Cause Promotion Association, the Poverty Alleviation Office of the National Health Commission (now the "Rural Revitalization Office") and other units, combined with the requirements of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce "10,000 enterprises help 10,000 villages", Fosun Foundation jointly launched the rural doctor project with China Glorious Cause Foundation and China Population Welfare Foundation, through the "Five one" project, All-round protection of rural doctors from the perspective of basic security, ability improvement, serious disease patient assistance, heart-warming village doctor case selection, and smart clinic upgrading. As of February 2023, a total of 314 corporate employees and volunteers and have been dispatched to project counties to train and retain qualified rural doctors, improving the capacity and accessibility of grassroots medical and health services in rural areas. Over the past six years, the Rural Doctor Program has covered 73 counties in 16 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in central and western China, benefiting nearly 24,000 rural doctors and reaching 3 million rural households.
At the end of the meeting, the participants had a wide range of exchanges on related topics.

Before the end of the event, all the participants took a group photo together.
