On the morning of March 6, 2024, the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce held a symposium at the Shanghai Commercial Commission, aiming to conduct work exchanges on the green transformation of foreign trade service enterprises and coping with green barriers. The conference invited representatives of six enterprises in the carbon neutral service platform to attend, and jointly discuss how to promote the sustainable development of international trade and "double carbon" work. The meeting also sought opinions and suggestions from professional companies in the field of "dual carbon" and sustainable development, which the Ministry of Commerce continues to promote. Leverage sent a representative to participate in this meeting.

This meeting began by discussing the current status of corporate efforts in implementing dual carbon transformation. The participating company representatives shared their experiences and achievements in the dual carbon transformation process. They emphasized the importance of green transformation for the sustainable development of enterprises and provided detailed descriptions of the measures they had taken to implement dual carbon initiatives. These companies are gradually transitioning from traditional industries to green and low-carbon industries, contributing to the country's carbon neutrality goals.
Subsequently, regarding the issue of green trade barriers in international trade, such as carbon tariffs and battery-related legislation, the participating company representatives shared their views and proposed countermeasures. They unanimously agreed that strengthening technological innovation and product upgrades to enhance the green competitiveness of enterprises is essential to better address these challenges. At the same time, they expressed a desire for policy-level support and assistance to help resolve the issues encountered by companies in the implementation of these practices.
Finally, the participating company representatives delved into the challenges and difficulties faced during the dual carbon transformation process, including issues related to resource investment, technological updates, and changes in market demand. They unanimously agreed that while the task of dual carbon transformation is demanding, it is essential to remain confident and brave in facing these challenges. Only by doing so can companies make steady and long-term progress on the path of green transformation.

In addition, the Ministry of Commerce also sought the opinions and suggestions of professional companies on the ongoing issues related to "dual carbon" and sustainable development. The main focus was on the following issues:
In daily operations, how does the company carry out its relevant tasks, and what are the main areas of business?
What challenges has the company encountered in practice that it is unable to solve on its own, and what kind of help and support does it hope the government can provide to address these issues?
What are your suggestions and opinions on the government's role in future areas such as "dual carbon" goals and sustainable development?
Through this seminar, companies were able to share and exchange their experiences, providing valuable feedback and suggestions to the Ministry of Commerce. The attending company representatives stated that they will continue to strengthen efforts to promote the green transformation of their businesses and contribute to the creation of a beautiful China and the establishment of a new sustainable development framework.
Overall, this seminar provided a good platform for experience sharing and exchange between companies, promoting the in-depth development of the "dual carbon" transformation work. The opinions and suggestions from the participating companies also provided valuable references for the government in advancing sustainable development in the future. With the joint efforts of all parties, it is believed that China's green transformation will continue to achieve new results and make greater contributions to sustainable development.
